The cable is available as a USB Type A/B or USB Type B/C or Type B/C Right. A USB cable is available separately should you require it. The Arduino MEGA 2560 features a USB Type B connector for programming, power, and application monitoring for connection to a host computer. It is strongly encouraged to download the USB driver for your operating system from WCH official website. A separate safe driver is needed to allow your host computer to communicate with the MEGA 2560. The MEGA 2560 utilizes an onboard Ch340G UART. Technical Specifications:ĭigital I/O Pins: 54 (of which 14 provide PWM output)įlash Memory: 256 KB (8 KB used by bootloader)Ĭlock Speed: 16 MHz Setup and Configuration That model is slightly more expensive as it does not require any additional drivers. We also carry another version of the Arduino MEGA 2560 which uses a ATMEGA16U2 setup as a USB-to-serial UART.

Also included are 16 analog inputs, 4 UARTs (hardware serial ports). The MEGA 2560 features 54 digital input/output pins, including 14 pins which can also be PWM outputs. The MEGA 2560 is fully compatible with a genuine Arduino Mega 2560 and is programmable with the Arduino Software (IDE). The Arduino MEGA 2560 is based on the ATmega2560 microcontroller and is compatible with the Arduino family of boards. If power externally make sure enough power.Arduino MEGA 2560 R3 Compatible with CH340G Uses CH340G Universal UART Is the board connected directly to the pc via usb or via a usb hub? Make sure direct connect.

If you can't see anything in Control Panel try a different usb port on your computer. If you can see an entry in control panel but it is not showing in the Arduino Ide try changing the port to a different COM number (right click>properties)

Re-installing the arduino ide will attempt to install the usb drivers again but they can also be found in the \drivers sub folder below the Arduino Ide. Article number: AR0148 SKU number: AK34/9 Availability: In stock (23). I am able to get the shield to work with my Arduino UNO, but not the Mega 2560. Look in "Control Panel>Device Manager" to see if there is an exclamation mark against any devices, or "Unknown/Other" devices? If you can see the board but it has an error against it look at the properties to see if you can see what the error is. paulmichaud December 12, 2016, 7:32pm 1 I bought a USB Host Shield from Robot Shop dot com where it was advertised to be compatible with the Arduino Mega 2560. Is anything connected to the board apart from the usb cable? Green LED simply means the board has power unless you are talking about the tx/rx Led's?
